About this event
Description
Drypoint is an intaglio printmaking method that involves scratching an image into a plate with a pointed tool. We'll explore plastics containers as printmaking plates, how to clean and prepare the surface, use photos, artwork or other imagery as a guide and what types of household tools can be used to scratch into the plastic. After preparing the plates, we'll ink them up and print them using the printing press. Participants are asked to bring clear plastic containers, like produce containers, with a flat surface and imagery without words they would like to create a print from.
UW Students and Union Members pay $10 less than listed fee. Check box and use ID/Member Number for discount on Fees Page.
