The ALSO Instructor Course equips current ALSO Providers with the skills and knowledge they need to effectively teach ALSO courses. 3.25 CME credits are granted by the AAFP for this course.
Please check your ALSO Provider status and expiration date on the aafp.org site to confirm that your status is current at the time of this course.
This course is divided into two activities: Online and Live. Completion of all required online materials must be achieved at least 24 hours prior to the start of the live course. The online course is designed to be completed at your own pace. It is highly recommended to allow at least 4 collective hours to successfully complete this online course. The in-person portion of the course will be practical sessions on how to lead ALSO Provider workstations and group testing.
Please note that when you complete the ALSO Instructor course you are considered an Instructor Candidate. To become a full instructor you need to be observed teaching in an ALSO or BLSO Provider course.
