About this event
This hands-on, six-week course is designed for adult learners with little to no prior welding experience who are interested in learning the foundational skills of welding. Participants will be introduced to core welding processes, including Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW/Stick), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW/Dual Shield), and Oxyfuel cutting. The course emphasizes safety, proper equipment setup, welding techniques, and basic metal fabrication principles. Each week features a combination of classroom instruction and shop time, allowing students to immediately apply what they learn. By the end of the program, participants will be able to perform basic welds, identify common welding tools, and understand essential safety procedures. This course is ideal for hobbyists, entry-level job seekers, or anyone exploring a career in welding or metalworking. No prior experience required. All safety gear and materials provided.
