About this event
Successfully completing this course meets the training requirements when applying for a Concealed Weapons Permit in the State of South Carolina. All required forms & 2 completed fingerprint cards are included with the class fee. The student will be responsible for sending the completed SC CWP application packet (completed in class) directly to SLED. Course attendees must be at least 18 years old, and not be prohibited by law from possessing a firearm. (Must be 21 to submit CWP application to SLED.) The firearms qualification portion of this course is held outdoors. Dress weather appropriate on class day & bring appropriate outerwear during colder weather. Open-toed shoes & low-cut necklines are not allowed on the firing line for males or females. Please wear a shirt where the neckline touches your collar bone. A ball cap or visor is recommended. Eye & hearing protection is required & can be purchased or rented at the range if you do not have your own. Your own pistol is suggested. Rental pistols are available at the range. A minimum of 50 rounds of FACTORY ammunition for your firearm is required. NO HAND LOADS for this course. We do have ammunition for purchase at the range. Extra magazines for your pistol are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. You will need an ON THE WAIST holster that fits your carry pistol for this course AND A STURDY BELT. (No cross draw, small of the back, or shoulder holsters.) Lunch break will be approximately 30 minutes & is on your own. Please bring a lunch or you can purchase lunch nearby. After successful course completion, you CAN make an appointment with IdentoGo to have your prints done digitally & turn your application in at one of the IdentoGo locations throughout the state. Class fee is $80 ($70 for range members – contact the range for discount code) for the whole class, $50 if exempt from the firearms proficiency portion (no member discount).
