This is a truly one of a kind adventure on dirt. Our 19th edition of the Nebraska Trail Run will once again feature all the hills, thrills, challenges and excitement that have made this a must do race. Single track dirt trails overlooking the Missouri River. In 2013 Business Insider Magazine named us "The 8th Most Challenging Trail Run in the United States!" Custom made awards, long sleeve sweatshirts, post race party with signature dish and age appropriate refreshments (including beer) and Bragging Rights for 2026!
We invite you to join us for one of the following distances-
Nebraska Trail Run 10K (ish)
Linda's Loop 5k (ish)
Katie's Loop 2K (ish ~1.5 miles)
Kids Quarter (a 1/4 mile)- Free to kids 12 and under. Please register your child with adult signature for head count.
All entry fees are non refundable. Proceeds benefit Midwest Elite, our 501 (c) 3 not for profit, EIN 99-4599146. Entry fees are tax deductible and help our mission to provide healthy lifestyle opportunities for youth and adults.
Event details and schedule
Platte River State Park is located at 14421 346th St. in Louisville Nebraska. Easily accessed from major interstate I-80. The morning will begin with our free kids run a 9:00 a.m. Cannon fires for the 10K at 10:00 a.m. sharp! Rugged, groomed and well marked courses will take you through the park offering amazing views of the Missouri River, wildlife and bird sightings await.
A Nebraska Game and Park permit will be required to enter. You may purchase online at NGPC - Login Parking will be available near the start/finish area, Owens Landing.
Packet pick up and race day registration will open at 8:00 a.m. at ChokeCherry Cabins 1 and 2. We will be offering additional swag items for sale, cash and credit cards accepted.
This is a self supported trail run, please bring your water bottles that may be filled at the start and at the turn around. Please respect our trails and park by carrying everything out that you take in. Trash cans will be available.
Please prepare for any weather eventuality as Mid April in Nebraska can range from beautiful to wet to snowy conditions. This is a trail run that you will never forget, we look forward to hosting you and not for the last time, Giddyup!
