Aikido is a Japanese Martial art developed by Morihei Ueshiba. This is an art, not only of a physical system, but of constant movement which involves some throws and joint locks that are derived from jiujitsu and other techniques from kenjitsu. Aikido focuses not on punching or kicking opponents but rather on using their own energy to gain control of them or to throw them away from you. Steven Macillas, Sensei, has been instructing in different types of Martial Arts since 1980. Sensei believes in principles of Aikido and the benefits form the teaching of this art. All classes are held at the Recreation Hall located at 903 Pacheco Blvd., in Pacheco Park. Classes are one hour and are for all ages. Ask about our special!
