UCLA Lab School is located on six wooded acres at the edge of the UCLA campus. Lab School demonstration teachers collaborate with university researchers to investigate topics to support innovation in teaching and learning. We serve a diverse community of students and offer an inclusive, inquiry-based curriculum that prepares children with the knowledge and skills they need to take an informed and responsible role in the world. What to expect: The UCLA Lab School curriculum is designed to engage children in deep thinking and collaborative problem-solving across the disciplines. These educator days are designed for you to witness the dynamic of teaching and learning at Lab School. Leave feeling inspired and ready to try something out in your own classroom. Snapshot of the day: You will start the day with an introduction and overview of our school and our practices. This will then be followed by Safe School Workshop and an opportunity to visit classrooms and observe lessons. At the end of the day, we will offer a school-wide tour.
