Eligibility/Age Guidelines: 14U Softball is for ages 13 thru 15, born between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2009. *All USA of Southern California rules apply, incl Travel and HS restrictions.

Division Overview: This is our most competitive division, comprised of intermediate and advanced players. The goal is to get these players ready for High School team play. Note: All levels are welcomed in the Rec league, however, first-time players find this is a difficult level to start at.

Depending on participation and the number of teams formed, inter-league home and away games may be part of the schedule with an inter-league end of season tournament. Equal playing time is emphasized, everyone bats in the order and no players will sit out two innings in a row. The Free Substitution rule is used and pitching limits, run limits and a few other limitations are imposed. Paid USA umpires are used. Pitching distance is 43’, base paths are 60’, and a 12” softball is used (Dream Seam or equiv.)

Select Softball may also be available in this division. Tryouts are required and will be concurrent with Rec evals. This team will have (1) additional practice p/week and (1) or more weekend tournaments p/month. Select play will end on March 31st. $$$ There are additional costs associated with Select Softball that are the sole responsibility of the player/guardian. Schedule: The season is approximately 13 weeks long with (1) mid-week game and (1) Saturday game each week. Practices are scheduled at the manager’s discretion. Games are played at El Dorado Park West. Depending upon participation, inter-league home and away games may be part of the schedule.

Evaluations: Spring Softball Evaluations are scheduled for early January (date, time and field info to be announced.) Practices will begin the week of February 1st and the season will conclude on or about May 7, 2023.
