REGISTRATION OPENS Jan 27, 2026The Firehouse Arts Center in Pleasanton brings historical characters to life during an afternoon matinee, complete with audience interactive Q & A session.Attendees will spend an afternoon with Chautauqua actor, Madelyn Porter as she brings to life the formidable spirit of Sojourner Truth, one of the 19th century's most powerful advocates for human rights. In this compelling portrayal, witness the journey of the woman born into slavery as Isabella Baumfree, who escaped bondage. She transformed herself into an itinerant preacher and outspoken champion of abolition and women's rights.
Doors open at 1:30.Show begins at 2:00.Check in with LARPD staff upon arrival at the Firehouse to receive your ticket.
