Take part in the EMBARC Youth Farm Adult Beekeeping 101 program at DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Affairs. We look forward to a fun day of hands-on learning about the Youth Farm bees!

The event will be held on Saturday, July 11th, 2026, from 9 am to 12 pm.

We will begin PROMPTLY at 9:00 am, so participants should plan on arriving by 8:45 am.

Cost is $45.00 per participant (ages 18+)

Participants must wear closed-toe shoes, dress for the weather, and drink plenty. The E.M.B.A.R.C. staff, accompanied by Ed Morgan from The Atlanta Bee Company, will supervise all activities, and provide protective clothing (bee suits, gloves, and veils).

Come prepared to get an up-close and safe view of the bees hard at work in the hives. We will harvest and extract honey from the hives, so please be ready to get a bit sticky with the tasty treat.
