Join us for the Turpin Outdoor Education Center's Pistol Matches on April 18, 2026.
This stand-alone match is open to pistols from all manufacturers. All matches are shot from a one-handed standing position. See information below about courses of fire.
This month's matches will be:
Gallery Precision Pistol Sectional
CMP Air Pistol
Competitors may shoot one, or two matches. First entry is $25, and the second is $12. This month's Gallery Precision Pistol Match is an official NRA Sectional with an additional $5 competitor fee.

SCHEDULE
Saturday, April 18: Relays available for Gallery Precision Pistol, and CMP Air Pistol from 8 am to 12 pm. Select relay during registration.
PRIZES will be awarded for first place in Gallery Precision Pistol, and CMP Air Pistol matches. Additional prizes may be awarded by random drawing.
MATCHES
Competitors may shoot an official entry in all of the matches.
Gallery Precision Pistol
Open to .22 caliber rimfire pistols with iron/open sight or optical sights (red dot, pistol scope, reflex, holographic, etc.)
This is a 90 shot match
Slow Fire: 10 shots in 10 minutes, 2 times = 20 shots
Timed Fire: 5 shots in 20 seconds, 2 strings per target, 2 times = 20 shots
Rapid Fire: 5 shots in 10 seconds, 2 strings per target, 2 times = 20 shots
National Match Course
Slow Fire: 10 shots in 10 minutes
Timed Fire: 10 shots in 20 seconds, 2 times = 10
Rapid Fire: 5 shots in 10 seconds, 2 times = 10
1) Uses standard B-2 target for slow fire, and B-3 target for timed and rapid fire
CMP Air Pistol
Open to .177 caliber air pistols with open sights; see rulebook for complete gun specifications. There is a 15-minute preparation and sighter period prior to record shots. All 60 record shots fired within 1 ½ hour (90 minute) time limit. Uses standard B-40 10 meter target.
