In Collagraphy printing plates are made by building up textures on rigid substrates through the use of various materials including found objects, papers, strings, fabric, and glues. In this class we will explore different techniques for building texture and experiment with printing the results. The class will cover both relief and intaglio inking techniques as we experiment with building images through this collage-like process. Bring ideas for imagery you’d like to work with.
