About this event
BLOCK I COVERS CLASSES FROM 9/21 THROUGH 10/19 Delve into the realm of paper art to create unique, handmade books. A morning of art-making can be an oasis of calm and creativity built into your week, with partial semester blocks available for busy schedules! This class will lead students through ways to cut and tear, as well as different folding techniques to craft an array of handmade books, such as concertina, flutter, and meandering fold types. Students can develop a motif, or just explore with color, collage, and paint to naturally allow their theme to emerge. This class is paced to allow relaxed exploration in different collage techniques and mediums, with no prior art experience necessary.
