In this self-guided studies program, explore hand-built forms and surfaces through in-depth studies of both historic and contemporary approaches. Surface studies may include glaze exploration and a variety of finishing techniques. Intermediate to advanced.

Supplies needed: Bring your own clay tools or purchase one at the LCAC for $20 + tax. Clay may be purchased at the LCAC and is $20 + tax per 25-pound bag. A variety of clays are available. Basic tools are available for purchase or students may bring their own. Class fee includes glazes, most firings, and open studio time. There is a fee for re-fires & oversize work. You may not take glaze home. Small storage lockers are available for $20 per year.
