Description
Please join us for the thirteenth Remembrance Dinner commemorating this small but significant battle that occurred near Leesburg. This dinner will also recognize the volunteer efforts of the Friends of Ball’s Bluff and their stewardship and interpretation of the park.
We are honored to have as our featured speaker Kevin Pawlak, tour guide and author. This talk examines the experiences of those injured in the fighting, the medical practices and limitations of both Union and Confederate surgeons, and how the wounded survived their ordeal along the Potomac River in 1861.
All proceeds will be used in our ongoing preservation and education programs in support of NOVA’s Ball’s Bluff Battlefield Regional Park.
This year’s event once again will be catered by Great Blue Heron and will include a social hour, silent auction, dinner and historical artifacts display.
Cost will be $70 per person
