Description
Shattered Dreams: Sex Trafficking in America is a comprehensive documentary that discusses how sex trafficking presents itself in society. We follow experts in the anti-trafficking field, as well as three women with lived experience throughout this film and how society currently responds to sex trafficking and the need for additional survivor-centered approaches. As a group, a discussion will be led by Ashton Petta, Human Trafficking and Prevention Director, regarding tackling some main themes from the film, and collaborate on prevention action as a community. Attendees are encouraged to watch the film, found here, and come to the discussion with a familiar knowledge of the documentary. During the program, you will watch and respond to specific clips of the film for pointed discussion.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to watch the full documentary, Shattered Dreams: Sex Trafficking in America, prior to the program.
