RC - Softball League for ages 8-16
Greater Ridgecrest YMCA Branch 1801 119th Street North Largo, FL 33778 Organized by YMCA of the SuncoastAbout this event
Description
We're sorry, but this class/activity is over. The last meeting was Thursday, April 13, 2023.
Our YMCA Softball program offers youth the chance to get active and have some fun. Softball will build self-confidence and self-esteem while developing social skills and healthy relationships with other youth. Softball also helps youth build strength, endurance, conditioning, and coordination.
This is a great non-competitive program where youth can become comfortable with the game Softball. We focus on fun, character development, teamwork, sportsmanship, participation, and basic skill development. Skills include batting, and catching, base running, and much more!Note: Ridgecrest Park may be an additional location.
Please Bring: Participants will need their own bat and batting hat, as well as a good pair of tennis shoes(or cleats), a glove, water bottle, and sunscreen.
All parent communication and notifications will be done via email to your email address associated with your YMCA account.
YMCA sports are based on seven guiding principles: Everyone plays, Safety first, Fair play, Positive competition, Sports for all, Sports for fun, and Family Involvement. Our leagues are supported by parent volunteers who are engaged as coaches, referees, and raving fans!
Volunteer Opportunities: If you are interested in being a volunteer, please contact Sandy Reierson at sreierson@suncoastymca.org or 727-559-0500. There is also an area for you to indicate your volunteer interest when you are registering your child.
