About this event
Are you ready for an unforgettable adventure? Join us on an incredible journey to Ghana, a vibrant West African country where you'll experience history, culture, and friendship in ways that simply can't be learned in a classroom. Walk through powerful historical sites that tell the story of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, gaining a deeper understanding of a defining chapter in world history. Experience the hospitality of the Ghanaian people as you visit three Holy Cross schools, where you'll meet local students, participate in school life, and build friendships that span continents. Throughout the journey, you will also engage in service projects. The Congregation of Holy Cross has a thriving presence in Ghana, and the school communities are excited to welcome you. This is a unique opportunity to experience our Holy Cross mission from a global perspective while discovering what unites us across cultures. We're also exploring the possibility of welcoming students from Saint Brother André High School to St. Edward for a visit, allowing the friendships you build in Ghana to continue after you return home. If you're looking for an experience that will challenge your perspective, deepen your faith, and connect you with the wider Holy Cross family, this is a trip you won't want to miss. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The estimated cost of the trip to Ghana is $4,200. A non-refundable $1,000 deposit is required to reserve a student's place. Once flights and all travel arrangements have been finalized, families will be charged the actual cost of the program, which may slightly differ from the estimated amount. Families may choose to pay the remaining balance through a payment plan. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Participation in the St. Edward High School International Travel Program is contingent upon positive teacher recommendations, as well as satisfactory academic and behavioral standing, as determined by the Deans and the Director of International Programs.
