About this event
Attention Latin students! Join Magister Knittel and Domina Catalan this February 10 through the 17th for an extraordinary study tour exploring the spectacular Bay of Naples! We will be staying at the historic Villa Vergiliana, allowing you to sleep right on the grounds of an archaeological site within the ancient city of Cumae. Guided by your own teachers, you'll walk the remarkably preserved streets of Pompeii and Herculaneum, hike the awe-inspiring crater of Mount Vesuvius, and experience the vibrant culture of Napoli. Our incredible, action-packed itinerary also features breathtaking stops at Capua, Baia, Paestum, Pozzuoli, Cuma itself, and the magnificent Roman cistern, the Piscina Mirabile. After long days of stepping back in time and exploring these ancient marvels, you will return to the villa to relax and share authentic, home-cooked Italian meals together. ....................................................................... Eligibility to participate is subject to positive teacher feedback and the student's academic and behavioral standing, as evaluated by the Deans and the Director of International Programs.
