This 5-day Level 1(Ages 13+) sailing class is held Monday through Thursday from 10:15 AM to 12:15 PM with examination day being Friday. This class provides a more in-depth level of hands-on introduction to sailing. Designed for new and those familiar sailors, this program teaches essential sailing skills in a supportive and engaging environment. Participants will learn more in-depth sailing terminology, fundamental techniques, and how to properly rig a boat. This class includes learning how to navigate different sailing courses in open water. Safety is a top priority. On the first day, participants will complete a water comfort assessment and a capsize lesson with a guided drill to build confidence and preparedness. Prerequisite: Participants must be comfortable swimming in open water away from shore.
