Sumi-e (pronounced sue-me-ee) is the ancient Asian art of painting images of nature in a spare, graceful style, using a brush, ink and water. In this class you'll learn to paint a chrysanthemum which represents autumn. It is one class in a week-long series. Take one or all five classes. In each class you'll create one 9"x11" painting in black and one in color. Each class in the series offers a different subject to paint. And while each class builds on the previous one, you don't have to take them all or in succession. However, if you do take all five classes, you'll receive a discount of $10 on the week-long series.
