Red Cross Preschool Aquatics Level 1 classes can be taken without any previous swimming experience. The classes are designed as an introduction to swimming for youths, ages 3 to 5 years old. Throughout the class, participants will learn the following skills:

• Water entry and exit
• Basic breath control
• Supported floats
• Rudimentary strokes and kicks
• Introduction to alternating & simultaneous:
• Arm action on front
• Arm action on back
• Leg action on front
• Leg action on back
• Basic water safety skills

All swim classes incorporate Water Safety Habits and Skills.
