Spring Birding in Klamath Falls: Laid-Back Birding Club Field Trip There's nothing quite like the joy of birding - being in nature, seeing a variety of species, and sharing the experience with friends. This spring, take your birding to the next level! Klamath Falls is famous for water birds, including breeding grebes, which were featured in a BBC documentary. Now, you can see them firsthand, and watch them dance across the water in their elegant courtship displays.Klamath Falls is a great destination for birders February - June, with over 150 species counted each year on Global Big Day in May. If you've never been to Klamath Falls before, you might even add some species to your life list!
The Laid-Back Birding Club is all about enjoying our experience. The pace of this trip will be relaxed, with some driving and easy walks along nature trails. There will be 2 or 3 excursions planned for each day Friday and Saturday, and 1 or 2 on Sunday. Participants are responsible for their own transportation and lodging, so you can choose the accommodations that are most comfortable for you, and join us for activities as you like. We will also have optional evening gatherings to share photos and reflect on the day's adventures. Contact the instructor if you have any questions!
