Masters Rowing
Experienced adult rowers interested in fitness, improving technique and winning Championships, can join the LOCR Masters Rowing program. Master’s practice and train under the supervision and direction of coaches, and the group includes post-collegiate rowers, individuals who have completed Learn to Row classes and rowers who were introduced to rowing at another club.
Our Masters program focuses on building confidence in the smaller racing singles as well as the larger team boats. The goal is to become strong in each seat of the boat, whether it be as a stroke or bow seat or as a single sculler. We also focus on rowing technique that is crucial in the larger team boats, like ratio and slide control.
