Description

Build Strength. Build confidence. Build Community. If you've ever walked past the weight room adn thought, "That's not for me," this class is your invitation to step in; supported, informed and empowered. Ladies Learn to Lift is designed for women of any age who are brand-new to strength training or who want to rebuild confidence with weights. You'll learn how to use common gym machines, dumbbells and basic lifting techniques in a private, judgement free environment. The program is designed using progressive, evidence based principles, not random exercises.

New to strength training? Coming back after a break? Or ready to finally learn how to do the core movements properly? This small, private class is where you start.Over four weeks we build your strength from the ground up. Each class focuses on one key foundation: core breathing, pelvis and rib cage alignment, scapula and head alignment, knee, ankle and foot alignment, the hinge, the squat, the lunge, and push and pull. You will also learn how to work every major muscle group and how to use dumbbells, barbells and machines safely and effectively. Previous injuries or painful areas are taken into account, and you will learn how to adapt each exercise to your body and your abilities.By the final class, you will leave with your own personalized program to continue on your own or in future classes.Evidence based. Progressive. Designed for real women and real bodies.NOTE: participants register for all 8 classes. Drop in's not permitted for this class.
