About this event
Based on the groundbreaking work of Dr. Kerry Burnight, Joyspan: The Art and Science of Thriving in Life's Second Half, this class offers an opportunity for participants to shift the aging narrative from fear-based to purposeful, joyful living. While conventional approaches focus solely on lifespan or health span, this course uses gerontology, psychology, and neuroscience to introduce the critical concept of "Joyspan"—the total amount of joy, meaning, and deep connection in one's life. This program provides practical, science-backed tools to build resilience, cultivate contentment, and strengthen internal, emotional fitness. We invite you to join us in a relaxed and fun atmosphere to step into growth, adaptation, and meaningful engagement. This class is generously discounted by the Haddie Fund of the Marin Community Foundation.
