About this event
Fly fishing 101 is a fast paced beginning class. Sessions cover everything from the basic “how to set up your first rod and reel” to knot tying; an introduction to entomology—and how that affects fly patterns—and, of course, casting lessons. Sessions include field trips for those things that can’t be learned in the classroom so set aside a weekend or two! The goal? Learn the skills that allow 10% of anglers to catch 90% of the fish! Classroom Sessions June 17, June 24, July 1, July 15, 7–9:00 PM Field Trips / Labs (Off-Campus) June 27 – 9:00–11:00 AM July 11 – 9 AM–2 PM July 25 – 9 AM–2 PM Class is limited to 14 students.
