Learn how to employ various color schemes to make striking paintings in the manner of Henri Matisse and Emil Nolde. Many subjects will be offered with color as the main focus. Are you usually a value or color painter? If you paint mostly with values, then you show how natural or dramatic light pervades a painting. In this class, you will focus on becoming a colorist. Instead of contrasting with the full range of values, you will combine specific types of colors to bring us either toward or away from the center of interest in your paintings. All levels welcome.
