Welcome to the UBCO Recreation Pickleball League. This is an indoor program played in the UBCO Gymnasium on Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

This league is for players from 3.5+. We will be playing either round-robin style or king court depending on group. We are a social league, meet people and have fun playing pickleball.
There are 4 badminton courts on gymnasium flooring.
Open to the UBCO students, staff and faculty and community members.
*paid parking is in effect for this program, so please download the Honk App prior to your arrival. You will be supplied with a parking code for the day.*

Pickleball - Digit Skill Ratings1.0-2.0: Player is just starting to play pickleball and has no other sports background. Minimal understanding of the rules of the game.2.5: Player has limited experience. Can sustain a short rally with players of equal ability and has a basic ability to keep score3.0: Player understands fundamentals, is learning proper court positioning, knows the fundamental rules, can keep score and is now playing tournaments.3.5: Player moves quickly towards the non-volley zone when opportunity is there, can sustain short rallies, is learning proper court positioning and has basic knowledge of stacking and understands situations where it can be effective.4.0+: Player is aware of partner's position on the court, is able to move as a team, has a moderate number of unforced errors per game, is beginning to identify opponent's weaknesses and attempts to formulate game plan to attack weaknesses.
