About this event
In this class we will learn about the physiology of performance anxiety and why we develop it. We will explore methods of dealing with nerves when they arise and how to prepare in the practice room and beyond so that we can perform our best. Students will work to develop a more efficient and mindful mode of practicing as well developing a plan of action for approaching future auditions and high pressure performances. This class is ideal for students planning for district/state/or college/conservatory auditions. Led by Ashley Stanfield of The Opus 76 Quartet Class lasts 4 weeks per semester: Spring 2024 - 3/3, 3/10, 4/7, 4/14 Some solo performance may be required in this course.
