In this class we learn to use a variety of new woodworking tools, including jigsaws, routers, sanders, and chisels. The project is made from baltic birch plywood, which has the nice feature of not needing an edge treatment beyond sanding. The thin plys in this product are uniform and free of voids, leaving an attractive cut edge. The shelves are designed to be fastened to studs in your wall, creating a sturdy support for books, plants, and even cats! In this 1-day class students will build one curvy wall shelf. We will discuss during class how to hang the shelf safely in your home. Students under 18 may attend with parental permission.
