In this class we dive deep into some new tools, accessories, and woodworking concepts. Doors and drawer fronts require lots of processing on the table saw. After a thorough introduction to table saw use and safety, we process solid wood parts, as well as sheet goods for panels. We then introduce several table saw jigs that support our construction of frame and panel doors. Our hands-on learning is scaffolded by lectures and demonstrations addressing wood and its properties, as well as an introduction to joinery types and considerations. The class will work together to build the doors and drawer fronts for the cabinets built in the previous week's class for this year's tiny house. These classes are related but can be taken independently of each other. Students under 18 may attend with parental permission.
