A good story is even better when it’s shared!

GrandFriends Storytime: Little Stories, Big Connections brings children, caregivers, and Iowa City Senior Center members together for a morning of reading, storytelling, conversation, and connection. Children will have the opportunity to spend time with ICSC Story Partners who enjoy sharing books, stories, laughter, and a little extra attention with young readers and listeners.
ICSC members - become a Story Partner! If you enjoy children, miss reading with your own grandchildren, or simply want a meaningful way to connect with a younger generation, we would love to have you join us. No special experience is needed - just a willingness to share your time, a story, and your enthusiasm with a child.
Parents, grandparents, nannies, and caregivers: Bring the children in your care for a welcoming morning of books and new friendships. Children can enjoy stories and one-on-one interaction with caring Story Partners while building positive connections with another generation.
Come once or make it part of your monthly routine. Together, we’ll share stories, build relationships, and create the kind of community where generations know - and enjoy - one another.
