About this event
Description
Explore the creative possibilities of art journaling and junk journaling in this hands-on class with artist Annadora Khan. Using collage, found papers, images, personal mementos, and everyday ephemera, participants will create unique journal pages that combine visual art with personal storytelling. This class invites you to slow down, play, experiment, and discover new ways to express yourself. Bring old magazines, cards, photographs, ticket stubs, paper scraps, packaging, letters, or other collected materials you do not mind cutting and transforming. These everyday items can become prompts for memory, imagination, reflection, and creative exploration.
Participants may choose to create pages inspired by personal stories, meaningful images, memories, or simply the joy of arranging color, pattern, and texture. No art experience is needed. Annadora will provide journals, scissors, glue, and markers, along with guidance and encouragement for building layered, expressive pages.
Whether you are interested in preserving personal memories, exploring your creativity, repurposing materials, or simply spending time in a welcoming art-making environment, this class offers a playful and meaningful way to begin. Come ready to experiment, connect, and see the creative potential in the papers and stories we carry with us.
