Practices and Games will be played using a 3 on 3 format. Basketball size, hoop height, and game rules will be modified according to age. Participants will practice 1 day a week at the Grant Wood Gym. Games will be scheduled on Fridays, February 9 - March 1 at the Mercer Park Aquatic Center.
This is a parent coached program. Teams may be cancelled and refunds offered if a coach is not available.
Volunteer Coaches. This a volunteer coached program. Parents can sign up to coach when registering their child or by contacting the Iowa City Recreation Division.
Team Requests: The Iowa City Parks & Rec can only accept one team request. Requests must be made at time of registration. Team rosters will be set prior to the first practice and cannot be altered.
Communication. All communication between Iowa City Parks & Rec youth sports director and parents will be done through email. To confirm correct email address, contact the Iowa City Parks & Rec at 356-5100
Weather Cancellations. All weather cancellation will be made and posted at 4 on the Iowa City Recreation Division Rainoutline. Cancellations will be posted under site location.
Gym Rules: Gym will open 5 minutes prior to game and practice times. Players arriving early will remain in the hallway or lobby.
Shoes: For safety, players should carry in their game/practice shoes.
Practices: Practices will be held once a week at the Grant Wood Gym.
Game: Games will be scheduled on Fridays, February 11 - March 4 at the Mercer Park Aquatic Center.
