Description
In this 4-week course, you'll learn the fundamentals of woodcarving using traditional hand tools like carving knives and palm gouges. Starting with the basics of whittling, you'll focus on creating 3" mini wizards with different expressions designed to build your skills and confidence. Patterns will be provided to create a cast of "Whittle Wizards," a magical way to learn facial features and basic character design. You'll gain hands-on experience with essential techniques, including tool safety, basic cuts, and an introduction to flat-plane carving. This class will equip you with the skills to confidently continue carving your own creations at home.
No prior experience is required—just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
