About this event
Description
Let’s talk clothing—everyone wears it, but not everyone knows how to make it. In this class, you will. You’ll learn to read and sew from patterns, starting with simple tops and pants. You’ll also explore creative fabric combinations through projects like a quilted wall hanging or a custom pennant. For your final project, you’ll bring your own design to life—conceived, cut, and sewn by you.
Please note: Prior sewing experience on a machine is recommended, and taking Teen Institute: Intro to Sewing before this class will set you up for success.
All supplies are provided.
If you have any questions about whether this class is the right fit for you, feel free to reach out to Becca Doleh, Director of Youth, Teen, and Teacher Programs, at btrainor@indyartcenter.org.
