Description
Since the invention of photography, there has been a fascination with photographing life on the street. This photgraphic mode has always been on the cutting edge of documenting the life and times of the current cultural moment. In this class we'll get a little taste of cultural context before heading out into the world to capture some images on the streets of Indianapolis. The final class will be reserved to have a critique of the work students made on these field trips.
Supplies
Students should bring their own digital cameras to class. On the first day of class, the instructor is happy to offer advice on a camera to buy if you don't have one. A new digital camera can cost anywhere from $700 to $20,000. Used cameras can get as low as $200-$300.
