Perfect for intermediate-level jewelry students, this seven-week class is designed to expand your stone-setting skills through the art of fabricating prong basket settings for faceted stones. You'll learn the fundamentals of basket setting fabrication, including the anatomy of faceted stones, proper prong fitting, effective use of burs, and the correct techniques for using stone-setting tools to create secure, professional-quality settings. By the end of the course, you'll have the confidence and technical foundation to create a wide variety of prong-set jewelry, including earrings, rings, pendants, and countless custom designs.
