Description
In this 7-week course, you'll learn the fundamentals of woodcarving using traditional hand tools like carving knives and palm gouges. Starting with the basics of whittling, you'll progress through a series of fun, seasonal projects designed to build your skills and confidence. Patterns will be provided to create a charming scene in "Whittle Wonderland", a magical place where polar bears and penguins gather to build snowmen and share the winter season. You'll gain hands-on experience with essential techniques, including tool safety, basic cuts, and an introduction to various carving styles such as chip carving, caricature, and flat-plane carving. This class will equip you with the skills to confidently continue carving your own creations at home.
No prior experience is required—just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
