Learn to do citizen science by monitoring seasonal changes in twenty plant and tree species along the paved Pin Oak Trail across from the Eagle Creek Earth Discovery Center! After watching a short training video, we'll head to to the trail to monitor using paper data sheets, or download the Nature's Notebook app to upload observations and set up your own monitoring project at home. Program meets 5:30pm the second Tuesday of each month - start time moves to 4pm in November and December. Trained volunteers can also monitor the phenology trail on their own time.
Free with park admission, recommended ages 12+Trail is approximately 1 mile, paved, with some moderate slopes.
