Steel Art Workshop: Learn to Weld, Let's Build a Cube!
Welding for future furniture builders and metal artists:Want to create your own furniture and metal art? This workshop will set you up with the basic welding skills needed to begin your metalworking journey.
We will cover the fundamentals of safe and successful steel fabrication creating a great cube! This class focuses on the process and builds your skills with MIG welding techniques. We will work with some hand tools, both power and manual, for grinding and finishes as well. This is a great class for students to delve into a better understanding and appreciation for welding arts.
Materials, tools, and safety gear will be provided.There may be a 30-minute break, mid-class, as needed.
Students must wear cotton shirt, pants, and closed toe shoes.
No sandals, shorts, or synthetics.
Students must have full vision capabilities, gripping strength with both hands, and adequate hand-eye coordination.
