2023 Basketball Program (Partnership with HPARD, GHPAL, Houston Rockets) Houston Parks and Recreation Department (HPARD), Houston Rockets and The Greater Houston Police Activities League (GHPAL) will provide a recreational youth basketball league while providing a safe environment. Youth will learn at practices and games sport-specific skills, such as throwing, catching, dribbling, shooting, defense, agility, and speed. In addition, they will learn motor skills development, fitness conditioning, and have opportunities for healthy competition. 4-week session meeting 2 days per week (TUE/THU or MON/WED) for 1 ½ hours per practice; league play will be at identified gymnasiums.
