Volleyball 2021 Covid Guidelines:
Below is a listing of manageable guidelines to help take small steps to return to play this spring. The
success of this plan will only happen if we work together, so we encourage all players, coaches and
parents to respect these policies throughout the season, until further notice. We understand that
uncertainty exists in anything we do, but our best chance at a return to normal is to work together as a
unified entity. Participants or parents/spectators that violate these policies will be asked to
leave. Abuse of these policies may result in the cancellation of the program for the spring.
1. Masks will be required by all players, coaches and spectators for any event.
2. Participants, coaches and parents are encouraged to wash or sanitize hands before coming to
and returning from practice.
3. Any person who is experiencing symptoms of sickness must not attend practice.
4. Participants must bring their own water/water bottles.
5. Parents should drop players off or wait in their cars for practice. Parents will not be able to attend practice unless they are part of the coaching staff.
6. No meetings after practice. Participants will be directed to leave the gym as soon as the
practice has concluded to allow the next group to safely arrive.
7. If a participant or coach tests positive, please contact the Park & Rec Department so we can
inform the team of close contacts.
Holmen Impact Volleyball is for girls in 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade interested in participating in a fun, family-like, competitive, learning-filled volleyball experience. Players must attend school in the Holmen School District.
Practices:
Dates: Holmen Impact practices will start the week of March 22, 2021 and end the week of May 10th. Each grade level will practice 1-2 times per week.
Site: TBD - *Practice site and days/times are still TBD due to uncertainty with using school facilities.
**Please provide a current email on your registration. We will be communicating practice days/times and site with everyone shortly before the season via email.**

Tournaments:
Teams joining Holmen Impact will participate in the Wisconsin Independent Volleyball League. The WIVL organizes tournaments on Saturdays throughout April and May that are typically within 2hrs away. Each team will attend four tournaments throughout the season - TBD.
Fee: $125 per player/$95 per player
**7th & 8th grade players will be able to use their jerseys from 2019 if they want to. All new players or players that need a new jersey will be charged $125. If you decide to use your jersey from 2019, you will not be charged the uniform fee and will only be charged $95.**
Registration Deadline: March 15, 2021
Team Formation:
All girls will be placed on a grade level team based on skill after an independent evaluation at practice.
Coaching:
Coaching will primarily be parent volunteers with volleyball experience. Skill development, teamwork and mindset (flush it and "next" mentality), controlling your attitude and effort and respecting all aspects of the game will all be emphasized. Please indicate on your registration if you are excited about the opportunity to coach a Holmen Impact Team.
