Instructor: Anna Grayson This class is designed for artists who are ready to move beyond the basics and deepen their technical skill and creative voice. Students will refine their understanding of form, light, proportion, and composition through focused observational studies and longer, more complex projects. Working with pen, charcoal, and mixed dry media, participants will explore advanced shading techniques, dynamic mark-making, perspective, and expressive line work. Emphasis will be placed on developing depth, realism, and intentional design in every piece. Students will be challenged to think critically about their work, strengthen their artistic decision-making, and push their drawings from “good” to gallery-worthy.
