3 Stretches to Do for Back Pain

Every day we do terrible things to our backs. We sit at a desk all day hunched over our keyboards. We lift heavy things, wear bad shoes, sleep on bad mattresses.

All of these daily activities take their toll—which can lead to a lifetime of discomfort, pain and even cause permanent damage and immobility.

A few simple stretches performed regularly can help ward off this discomfort and prevent injury.

Camel Modified

Step 1

Come up onto your shins aligning your hips over your knee.

Step 2

Place the palms of your hands onto your lower back with your fingers pointing up.

Step 3

Draw your elbows together behind your back and tilt your chest open to the sky.
