The Long Grove Park District in cooperation with the Village of Hawthorn Woods is proud to offer this co-ed baseball league for children ages 4 to 6 and 7 to 9. We are featuring coaches who will stress instruction and participation as the key learning outcomes. This fun program is for players of all skill levels from novice to the advanced player. Come get your baseball/softball on in a constructive environment. The program will highlight and provide instruction at both weekly practices and Saturday game play. It is our intent to improve a player’s individual skills while developing an understanding of baseball/softball terms, concepts, and strategies. No previous experience is required, (maybe a parent or two will learn along with their child). Players will build character, sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive attitudes. Each player receives a hat and shirt and we will have a parents vs. kids game followed by BBQ at the end of the session. Batter up!
