About this event
Girls Code - in partnership with Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Computer Science (FCS) - is a ten month program that will introduce girls in grades 6-9 to programming through fun and challenging activities. Each three hour session will cover progressively advanced computer science concepts, and give participants hands-on coding experience. They will learn to program in scratch, python and eventually get to program their own Raspberry Pi. They will also be connected to mentors from within the Faculty of Computer Science and make friends along the way! No previous coding experience is required, just an interest in learning more about programming and electronics. It will be hosted in person at the Goldberg Computer Science building on Dalhousie University’s Studley campus once a month, on the third Saturday.
