Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Parade, 2026

Location: Hagerstown Dog Park at Fairgrounds Park, Hagerstown, MD

Dress up your loveable pooch for Halloween. Enjoy pet-friendly vendors & treats. Awesome prizes for each category!

Enroll through this link to pre-register for the competition for $10 by Noon on Friday, Oct. 23, or enroll on-site the day of the parade for $15 (cash or check only for on-site registration). Early online registered participants are featured in the Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume event program guide publication.

When you enroll, select the prize category for which your dog will walk to red carpet for awesome prizes!

Prize Categories (5):

* Hero Hounds - Superhero, police officer fireman, first responders, nurses, etc

* Petite Pups - Cutest, doggie divas, small dogs

* Creative Canines - Unique, original

* Doggie Duos - Dog/owner pairs, groups

* Famous Fidos - Movie costumes, celebrities, icons, superstars

We will also ask for: your dog's name, costume description, and an interesting fact or character trait about your dog. These details will be read by the announcer as your dog walks the red carpet in front of the judges.

For example: "Sam is 5 years old and loves to sit for treats, go for long walks in the park, and watch squirrels through the window. His costume is corn, because he's the most beautiful thing!"

One enrollment includes 1 dog and 1 human. If you have more than one dog participating, please include an additional enrollment for each dog. Each dog must have his or her own human escort. You may have more than one person escorting a dog, but no more than one dog per person.
