Get ready to explore the machines that move us in Planes, Trains, & Campers, a hands-on STEM camp for students in Grades 2-3. Campers will investigate how different types of transportation work and discover the science behind motion and simple machines.Through interactive investigations and guided challenges, campers will experiment with flight, rolling, speed, and forces. Activities focus on observing how machines work, testing ideas, and making improvements while building a foundation in physical science and engineering concepts.Expect to see: Exploration of vehicles through hands-on activities, experiments focused on motion, forces, and simple machines, opportunities for teamwork, curiosity, and problem-solving, and mentor visits from topic experts!
All of our camps are based out of Albert A. Thornbrough and Richards Building (Engineering Buildings on the U of G’s main campus) unless stated otherwise.
Parents/guardians will be emailed a “Pre-Camp Package” prior to camp with specific pick-up/drop-off locations and further details.
